Patient care involves accurate, real-time decision-making - not retrospective decision-making based on assumed patient diagnosis algorithms such as InterQual or Milliman USA. The innovative
MSR Monitor to Assess Progress (or MAP) is a true "Point-of-Care" management product - currently, there are no
other real-time "concurrent review" or real-time quality data information-gathering tools on the market.
- MSR Quality MAP - a data collection instrument, designed to prompt the collection of, and accurately record data for, quality improvement studies required by
payers, accreditation or certification organizations. It can also be used for user-initiated quality or efficiency improvement projects. The module enhances the user's ability to meet JCAHO, URAC and NCQA requirements. The tool is customizable;
the basic version is set up to accommodate 32 simultaneous studies, but is
easily expandable.
- MSR Inpatient MAP - a concurrent review tool completed by a
clerk, a physician, or a nurse reviewer, on-site or telephonically. It can be
used to objectively document the appropriateness of an
inpatient admission of patients eighteen years and older, including seniors,
from the doctor's office, the emergency room or from extended observation; it
can then be used to manage on-going daily reviews of those hospital admissions. A carefully
designed and weighted set of patient symptoms and hospital services is used to help determine whether an inpatient stay is appropriate.
- The MSR Resource MAP - a resource assessment tool designed for the daily monitoring of the staff and other resources used to treat patients. The information gathered can be downloaded daily for analysis.
The three related software modules can be applied and managed separately or as a coordinated patient database.
The introduction of national and regional "Pay-For-Performance" initiatives has prompted many providers to consider how to efficiently and effectively document their quality performance - and the MSR Quality MAP is an excellent, customizable tool. It is designed to quickly and accurately record, report and (at the time of service) double-check that the recommended diagnostic and/or treatment interventions are followed. Together with the MSR Inpatient MAP,
these innovative tools will help providers to better manage and document their
patient care in an efficient and extremely cost-effective manner. The new
software tool is offered using a server-based central database.
Technical / System Requirements, Compatibility and Encryption
- The new software is designed to operate on Microsoft
Windows 7, Vista, XP, or 2000 (With Service Pack 4),as well as on iPhones/ iPads and androids.
- Principal data exchange protocol: HL7; both routing and listening is
supported.
- The encryption type is AES
- The software can run as a Cloud-based application requiring no IT infrastructure,
or it can be integrated with existing patient data care systems via XML or EDI X12.
