MSR MAP, Health Data Management Systems and JCAHO, URAC, NCQA

The MSR MAP patient information, coverage recommendation, patient symptoms services, reviewer notes and Quality Improvement Project (QIP) data can be downloaded into health data management systems such as McKesson and Q Continuum.

ORYX is the Joint Commission for Accreditation of HealthCare Organizations (JCAHO) initiative to integrate performance measures into the accreditation process. The MSR MAP modules are designed to enhance the customer's ability to meet the ORYX Initiative and continuum of care standards required by the JCAHO. The MSR MAP modules are also designed for utilization management and quality improvement standards required by The American Accreditation HealthCare Commission (URAC) and National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA).

The MSR Inpatient MAP has been developed with involvement from appropriate providers with current knowledge relevant to the criteria under review and is based on current clinical principles and processes. In addition, the MSR Inpatient MAP daily determination findings, 'Today's Determination Reports,' 'Discharge Letters' and the MSR Quality MAP quality improvement project findings, when shared with treating physicians and patients, promote objective treatment, continuum of care and quality improvement decisions required by accrediting and certifying organizations.

The data entered into the MSR MAP modules can be downloaded to enterprise systems and included in reports submitted to support accreditation and certification survey and reporting requirements.
